Fit-4: clear, simple, detailed reporting

The Fit-4 report is designed to be read ‘at a glance’ with each competency in the report being relevant for the role being assessed

The ‘Fit-4 range’, or the range within which a sales person can be regarded as being ‘suited’ to the role is shown on the report by a set of horizontal square brackets above the bar charts.

A sales person who is consistently within the ‘Fit-4 range’ is likely to perform well in the specific role they are being assessed for, although the higher they are consistently within the range, the better they are likely to perform. The centre block of each bracketed area is the high performer benchmark level.

Consistency at or above this level across all elements is the key to success. Simply having one area, or one group (e.g. skills) at or above the benchmark does not mean they will perform well. Indeed, this is one of the problems with certain other assessments – someone may be behaviourally very good, but lack skills; or intellect; or motivation – or all three.

A detailed skills report is also provided enabling simple and straightforward needs analysis, hence personal development planning (i.e. investment planning) becomes objective, scientific and straightforward. This also enables the development of a simple set of training RoI metrics.

The reports also enable a quick, yet accurate determination to be made of the following factors:

  • Likely current performance level of each sales person compared to what could reasonably be expected of a High Performer in the same role
  • Direct like for like comparisons of one sales person to another in the same role. This often highlights the reasons for performance variance within a team.
  • Assessment of likely limits to growth for each sales person – i.e. how much ‘development headroom’ does each individual have. This assists with investment planning decisions.

Any experienced sales professional can make sense of a Fit-4 report, quickly and easily. Feedback training and phone support is available if required. Please contact SalesAssessment.com for more information.
